How long will my order take to deliver?
There are a few factors to look at when wondering how long your order should take to arrive at your place. They are:

  • the handling and packing process
  • where you live in Australia compared to Party Ideas in a Box, and
  • the delivery timeframe

These are outlined as separate postage and delivery questions.

How long does the handling and packing process take?

Allow 1 business day for the handling and packing process. I take a break from packing your parcel on NSW and national public holidays.

I live in the Newcastle, Central Coast and Sydney Regions. How long will my delivery take?
Allow 1 day for handling and up to 2 business days for delivery. This is an estimate only based on previous customer experience. Courier services and Australia Post have different timeframes.
I live in Adelaide or a large east coast regional city. How long will my delivery take?
Allow 1 day for handling and up to 4 business days for delivery. This is an estimate only based on previous customer experience. Courier services and Australia Post have different timeframes.
I live in Perth, Darwin or another inland/ less populated part of Australia. How long will my delivery take?
Allow 1 day for handling and up to 14 business days for delivery. This is an estimate only based on previous customer experience. Courier services and Australia Post have different timeframes.

I trust that you understand the courier delivery network and long haul distance from Newcastle is challenging. I would highly recommend planning in advance, or asking about the possibility of using the Australia Post Express Post network, at an additional cost.

Which delivery services do you use?
I choose to use a range of delivery services that suit your parcel’s weight and dimensions. This includes Australia Post and a number of courier services that have a courier network across most of Australia.
What is a courier service?
All courier services are a more economical way to deliver your parcels. They are not an express service.
Do I need to complete the Notes section during checkout?
Please type in whether you give permission for your parcel to be left at your delivery address without a signature. If this is left blank, your parcel may be returned to the courier’s local depot or nearest Australia Post office for you to pick up at a later date. This may not be as convenient for you and add extra time to the estimated delivery timeframe.

How will my order be packaged?

This is Party Ideas in a Box – I make every effort to send your order in a box! There are some orders where this may not be possible. However I will ensure that your order is packaged appropriately for the type of product.

I love to consider the environment with the packing boxes and may re-use boxes of all shapes and sizes. For this reason, there may be printing on the box that is not related to the contents of the package. It’s what’s on the inside that counts!

How do I track my parcel?

Once your order has been picked up from Party Ideas in a Box you will receive a tracking code email. This will confirm which company was used, the date it was picked up and the tracking number you need to follow the progress of your parcel. Go to the relevant company’s website for your tracking information.

The tracking details say my parcel has arrived, but I haven't received it yet
Australia Post and the courier services usually leave a “parcel for collection” card if your parcel cannot fit in your letterbox or you are not home. Please contact your local courier service depot or Australia Post with the tracking details provided in your Completed Order email. If you are unsure which type of delivery service was used or feel that your parcel is taking way longer than expected, please contact us for details.

Please note that Australia Post and courier services have a limited timeframe for holding your parcels for collection. If your parcel is not collected by their timeframe, the parcel will be returned to Party Ideas in a Box. If you would like the parcel to be resent, an additional delivery fee will be charged.

I've left my party planning to the last minute and would like Express Post
If you have left your party planning to the last minute, it may still be possible to get your order delivered in the nick of time. Please contact us first before placing your order to talk about delivery possibilities and pricing. All Express Post options, as requested by you, are payable as the exact postage cost, not as a flat rate cost.

Express Post is an Australia Post service only and covers 80% of Australia. Most areas are guaranteed by Australia Post for next business day delivery. Other areas have a guaranteed 2-3 business day delivery. Please check www.auspost.com.au for further details.

Where is my order despatched from?

I'm a local to you!. Am I able to pick up my order?

If you’re lucky to live in the Newcastle, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock areas there are additional delivery options:

  • Local Pick Up/ Delivery – I am out and about most days, so we can arrange a mutually convenient time and location for you to receive your parcel. Please contact us to see if this suits the days plans.
  • Reduced rate postage and delivery charge – There is a reduction in postage prices if you live in the local area. Please contact us prior to placing your order so you can receive the coupon code details.
Do you deliver to countries outside of Australia?
At this stage, Party Ideas in a Box delivers to customers in Australia only. However, if you really like our products and you live outside of Australia, please feel free to get in touch to ask about postage costs and delivery timeframes to your country. All parcels needing to be sent outside of Australia will be charged at the actual AUD postage price, not a flat rate.

Our Postage & Delivery Terms and Conditions
  • It’s the discretion of Party Ideas in a Box to choose which delivery service suits your package.
  • Postage and delivery costs are inclusive of packaging, handling and delivery.
  • Please provide your correct delivery details and instructions upon checkout to ensure your parcel arrives to the right place. An additional delivery fee will be incurred for incorrectly provided addresses. No refunds will be given for incorrect postal addresses. We do not take responsibility for wrongly addressed parcels, as provided by you during the checkout process.
  • For timely parcel despatch and delivery, allow up to 14 working days to ensure the parcel arrives before your planned party date.
  • Orders are processed and despatched Monday to Friday only. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be ready for pick up the following Monday (except for public holidays).
  • You agree to pay for all standard delivery costs and any extra costs incurred (as requested by you), regardless of the actual perceived cost of the parcel to send.
  • Postage and delivery costs are non-refundable.
